My Non-Political Science Life

Doorway in Lhasa's Jokhang Temple

Right now, political science is my life (both for motivational  and financial reasons). I love the research and the lifestyle, but man was not meant to live on JSTOR and Stata 10 alone.

My non-political science life is not very easy to summarize in a paragraph or two. Suffice it to say that I have myriad interests that both keep me busy and keep me happy. My main goal in life has been to “live the dream.” Why not, eh?

At the risk of tooting my own horn (and if I can’t do it on my own website then where?) I have had a fascinating, unique, and very lucky life. Feel free to explore the pages below. I include this section to let family, friends, acquaintances, and future acquaintances to learn a bit about me, where I have been, and a bit of what I have seen. Sure beats having to sit through one of my slide shows!

In an attempt to bring structure to the last decade or so, I subdivide my interests into several categories. Pages will be added and expanded as time permits. All writing and photographs were written or taken by me unless otherwise noted.

Please be patient as pages with pictures may take a few seconds for the pictures to load. Other than shamelessly indulging my obsession with photography, I have tried to keep this website as simple and straightforward as possible.

Enjoy!
