    Yes, there is life in Binghamton, NY. When I am not toiling in the ivory basement, I try to explore the area that surrounds our great city. There are numerous opportunities to hike, camp, and run in the state parks of New York and Pennsylvania. The BU Polisci department has social gatherings galore, and the grad student organization has a fall foliage/wine tour and a Binghamton Mets game in the spring. Then there are the floods, snow (preferably for snowshoeing rather than shoveling off the Buick), BBQing, Speediefest...
